ABSTRACT

This chapter explores an example of incorporating technology into SEPP supervision and training. It describes the case study which an assignment that a group of six second-year master's students participated in during the first of two practicum courses they were required to complete as part of their degree program. The chapter focuses on skill development, personal growth, and finally integration of their applied practice skills and personal development. Interpersonal process recall (IPR) is a method that can be used in sport by coaches, SEPP practitioners, and physical education instructors to provide a different approach to video feedback in which the athlete/client takes more of an active role and the coach/practitioner/teacher takes more of a passive role, rather than vice versa. Combining the use of IPR with additional methods of reflective practice can increase the depth and breadth of reflection. IPR can be a very useful tool to incorporate into supervision and training in SEPP.
