ABSTRACT

We move all the time - a fact that is reflected in the organization of our nervous system. However, measuring the sensation of movements is not straightforward. The sensation is a conscious experience, which brings challenges to how and what it is we are evaluating when we try to measure the feeling of movement. Thus, methodological questions about how to measure sensation of movements are necessary to consider. The aim of this chapter is to clarify how we can measure the sensation of movement and potential pitfalls that are related to such an investigation.
