ABSTRACT

School Psychology International (SPI) is a peer-reviewed journal published six times annually by SAGE Publishing. Authors submitting their manuscripts to SPI should carefully attend to the length and formatting requirements specified in the submission guidelines. In addition to the basic journal submission requirements, research described within submissions is evaluated on a variety of other dimensions including rigor, sophistication, and clarity, potential to contribute to the literature in a novel or meaningful way, and global appeal. Prospective authors are strongly encouraged to carefully review the match for both format and content between their manuscript and the journal's submission guidelines; manuscripts that do not accord to the journal style are overrepresented among those declined for publication. At the conclusion of the peer-review process, the editor provides the author with a final decision and a summary of reviewers' comments. Reviewers' comments are considered to be important in reaching a publication decision; nevertheless, the decision about acceptance for publication is made by the editor.
