ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on good practices that discusses the results of a content analysis performed on the good practices mentioned by the experts in the twenty-eight national reports. A coding guide was created, extending the above criteria to include main actors in implementing and funding good practices as well as media and information literacy skills. The chapter examines the trends in the twenty-eight national reports, but also includes external sources, bringing into the discussion the uptake of open educational resources and massive open online courses and their implications for teacher training as well as coding at elementary school or game-based-learning in a student-centric perspective. In the UK, the criteria to exemplify good practices are justified by "the premise that the most tangible evidence of ML education is to be found in the teaching of Media Studies at General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) and A Level and in higher education".
