ABSTRACT
Theory is important to the researchers in this volume for framing their research designs and engaging with complex and diverse communities. This final chapter is a reflection on how the authors in the volume relate practice to theory. It also presents the editors’ views on how the constructs of space, scale and time can serve as useful starting points for understanding the multiple and competing frames of reference that researchers contend with when working within communities.
