The International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health (ICF)

Initially in the present chapter, the ICF was introduced and the theoretical assumptions underlying the classification were described. These theoretical assumptions can be disclosed in the conceptual ICF model (Figure 2.1). This model is widely spread and used in clinical practice, scientific literature, and in government policies.
