Issues of Research Design and Reflexivity

The purpose of this study is to explore the ways in which faculty members’ social identities impact their experience in the university, especially but not solely in the classroom. We focus on their personal sense of their racial/ethnic and gender identities, their approach to pedagogical and curricular issues, their experiences in diverse classrooms and with diverse student bodies, their relationships with their peers, and their general outlook on university life.
