Disputed Territories The territories of the Crimean peninsula, comprising Sevastopol City and the Republic (formerly the Autonomous Republic) of Crimea, constituting the Crimean Federal Okrug, were annexed by Russia in March 2014, but remain internationally recognized as part of Ukraine.
