ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses the emerging elements for collective learning in development, which is the expression of the contributor's analysis on the commonalities of their experiences as brought out through consultation about their respective experiences. Digital Green's shift in values is reflected by its decision to combine technology with social organization to foster collective learning and redefine accountability. The Grameen Foundation's case study focuses on learning about approaches that cultivate a more responsive organizational culture, by emphasizing rapid learning cycles that are designed to create greater accountability. Farmer Voice Radio (FVR) concludes that at the heart of its quest to be more effective rests its growing reliance on collaboration, particularly with the farmer at every stage of the development process.
