Innovation is critical to sustaining business competitiveness and in improving productivity. The pace of technological development is accelerating and market conditions are changing more rapidly today than ever before. The innovation process is influenced by the organizational culture. This article attempts to identify the important facets of organizational culture which impact innovation. Five different categories of organizations, each having a different structure and culture are considered. The data collected from the members of these organizations is analyzed using Principal Component Analysis and resultant factor scores are calculated. These factor scores are further analyzed to highlight the differences across the five categories of organizations and their impact on innovation.
