ABSTRACT

The invitation to write about my experience as a feminist therapist came at the right time in my life. As a mid-life woman, born in 1937, these past 13 years have been a period of reflection, and a pulling together of various parts of my life. I welcomed another opportunity to continue this process. Interest in my own midlife issues led me to research this area and to collaborate with two other midlife colleagues—Joyce Warshow and Adrienne Smith. We have just finished co-editing an anthology entitled, Lesbians at Midlife—the Creative Transition. (1)
