ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the experiences as academic recruiters, and to reassure readers about the questions to ask when they are making their choices about which domain and then accredited course to study. A (British Psychological Society) BPS-accredited Stage 1 Master's degree in sport and exercise psychology is regarded as the "gold standard" through which the underpinning knowledge relevant to the practice of the sport and exercise psychologist is acquired. Each programme must teach and assess people on particular core and specialist taught components that represent the underpinning knowledge and critical understanding required by the sport and exercise psychologist. Learning about the research methods used in sport and exercise psychology and how to conduct one's own sport and exercise psychology research. Learning about the cognitive processes, psychological skills and strategies, developmental processes, social processes, participation and well-being issues, individual differences in sport and exercise psychology.
