ABSTRACT

This chapter incorporates the topic of cyberbullying into traditional anti-bullying awareness-raising and curriculum-based activities. It analyses the longitudinal differences in bullying, victimisation, cyberbullying, and cybervictimisation and between the control and experimental group. The chapter describes the progress of Noncadiamointrappola! and give an empirical evaluation of the school-based universal program. It highlights the online activities carried out through the webpage. The chapter uses Information and Communication Technology (ICTs) to promote protective factors and to enhance positive behaviours online. It states that bullying and cyberbullying are complex behaviours influenced by the interplay between individual and social-contextual factors. The chapter notices a significant increase in adaptive coping strategies and a significant decrease in maladaptive coping strategies. These changes mediated the changes in the behavioural variables. In order to promote coping strategies among young students, online support activities are led by peer educators. The chapter significantly decreases bullying, victimisation, cyberbullying, and cybervictimisation in the experimental group in comparison to the control group.
