ABSTRACT

My conscious aim in this chapter is to trace selected elements in the development of my psychoanalytic aesthetic. The musical architecture of my clinical style is conversational, existential, and contemporary relational. I possess a transcendent, sensual identification with the sea. While respecting the quantum entanglements of language and memory, I try to recognize influences from geographical, historical, and immigrant class peripheries. This allows me to explore the conditions of free, independent, and creative subjectivity in the context of self and others. I recognize the sheer power of what goes on unconsciously between two people, and the self and society.
