ABSTRACT

When I received the invitation from Sharon Farber to tell my own story as part of a book that would celebrate the wounded healer, a part of me said, “Yes! I’m one of those. Let’s tell the world!” Another part of me was not so sure that I felt ready to celebrate or be celebrated, given what I was doing to one patient at the time, and how bad I felt about it. One way or another, we wind up repeatedly wounding and being wounded on the way toward healing our selves and others.
