ABSTRACT
Table 9 is thus highly interesting as it demonstrates a clear correlation between the man-
agerial and entrepreneurial experiences of the second-home owners and their specific areas
of interest(s) in terms of participation. In this respect, we see for instance that a strikingly
high number of second-home owners, who are willing to be a part of the board of a local
company or to be a mentor for a local company, are top managers (respectively, 35% and
38%), while only 17% and 16%, respectively, are “employed”. Furthermore, we also see
that among those second-home owners who want to make an effort to develop local
business life, 44% run their own company. Furthermore, company owners are well rep-
resented (35%) among those who want to sit on a committee for local development.
