As a consequence Will Tura was rediscovered by the young generation adhering to the ethics and aesthetics of the zone. Alternative Mainstream is a constantly developing and changing formation of artists and bands. The equivalent of Rolling Stone in the Low Countries was Oor. This Dutch-language magazine was made in the Netherlands and also distributed in Flanders, selectively and sparsely monitoring both regions. To acquire the status of Alternative Mainstream artist/act they have to be accepted by the professional guardians of the field: the music press, record labels, managers, agents, and event organizers. Alternative Mainstream acts have a dominant presence in the national market of concerts, media, and releases. Alternative Mainstream is the domain of passionate music fans that keep up with the serious music press, are open to developing trends, go to concerts regularly and selectively buy, download or stream new releases.
