Case study 1 Why do the Omo River children paint themselves? A pedagogic evaluation
The contextualisation of this case study starts in a classroom (Andreia’s classroom), in a centre (Olivais Sul Children’s Centre), in a programme (Early Childhood Development – ECD Programme). We present the partnership between the Aga Khan Foundation and the Childhood Association for the development of childhood pedagogy, staff development and research. We proceed to a praxeological case study that highlights the journey of a project work which makes visible the relationship between children’s and teachers’ learning, documentation and assessment. We finish with a demonstration about how documentation is sustained in solidary planning and action that, in turn, will allow solidary learning to be revealed.
