ABSTRACT
Since 1978 and the shift to Deng Xiaoping’s leadership, with an enormous economic change in favor of what one may call, at first, some kind of “framed capitalism”, it is not only difficult to accurately label the economic system existing in China – this chapter may be seen as an attempt to find a more precise and appropriate term – but also to adequately name the current Chinese socio-political regime as a whole.
