ABSTRACT
The origins of organization development were in a humanist antibureaucracy/classical management philosophy that is clearly manifest in the theory initially expounded by Argyris (Chapter 17). The theory considered in this chapter is organizational in nature, but is tied to more micro level leadership theories as well.
