The GA’s interpretation of ‘curriculum making’ Working parallel to these research studies, the GA’s development work with secondary and primary teachers focused on what it termed curricu-lum making (GA, 2012). Developed through the Action Plan for Geogra-phy, a government funded project from 2006 to 2011 (GA/RGS, 2006, 2011), curriculummaking was described as:

The creative act of interpreting a curriculum specification or scheme of work and turning it into a coherent, challenging and engaging and enjoyable scheme of work. (GA, 2012)
