Much of the discussion about the current nancial crisis and, more broadly, the political and cultural crises in Europe largely ignores issues of gender and of media. At the same time, the media have the potential to act as a force for good in shaping the agenda around potential resolutions, even as they are experiencing their own sectoral crises. Issues of gender and equality are then added to this mix.
