ABSTRACT
A therapy case is presented illustrating many of the concepts described in Miehls and Applegate’s (2014/this issue) introductory chapter as well as some additional neurobiological phenomena elaborated on briefly in the next section. The interactions between the clinician and the client are examined line-by-line to exemplify what typically occurs in a therapeutic encounter, emphasizing arousal components.
