ABSTRACT

Given both the breadth of factors involved in the food security agenda, and the broad nature of many ecosystem services (Box 12.1, Table 12.1), it can be argued

that all ecosystem services are likely to be, in some way, relevant to meeting the challenge of delivering global food security. In addition, the particular factors regulating food security vary from place to place (Brussaard et al. 2010). Given the potential for getting caught up in the detail, it seems sensible to set some limits on this discussion.
