ABSTRACT
Likelihood o f Recidivism: The high probability of sex offender recidi vism has been supported by numerous clinical results (Hanson, 2002) and this finding has informed much legislation. Sexual Predator laws, for example, allow for the civil commitment of violent sexual offenders (Andrews & Bonta, 2003) and Megan’s Law and other iterations of com munity notification and registration require that individuals be informed of a child molester residing in their neighborhood (Bartol, 2002).
