ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: In the paper social security systems with built-in pro-fertility measures are defined. These systems do not only take into account the contributions of the pensioner, but also the number of his children and the amount of their contributions. Reflections on the need of these systems are based on the published negative effects of social security on fertility and demographic developments. This article provides a brief history of proposals and attempts to implement such systems in the policies of several countries.
