ABSTRACT

This chapter deals with the places that is located in the Urals mountains. Chelyabinsk Oblast is situated in the Southern Urals mountains. Chelyabinsk city was established as a Russian frontier post in 1736. Its agriculture consists mainly of animal husbandry, horticulture and the production of grain. Kurgan Oblast is situated in the south of the Western Siberian Plain. It was founded as a tax-exempt settlement in 1553. Agriculture consists mainly of grain production and animal husbandry. Sverdlovsk Oblast is situated on the eastern, and partly on the western, slopes of the Central and Northern Urals. Its agriculture consists mainly of animal husbandry and grain production. Tyumen Oblast is situated in the Western Siberian Plain. Agriculture employed 4.6" of the Oblast's workforce in 2011. The Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is situated on the Western Siberian Plain. Its agriculture consists mainly of fishing, reindeer-breeding, fur-farming and the hunting of fur-bearing animals.
