chapter  107
A Double Trauma: Fire and Ice
ByDiane Horning
Pages 4

The trauma of having lost my son to murder is especially horrid because I know that someone deliberately targeted him and, through the ultimate act of hate, took his life and altered our family forever. The murder of 2,749 people at the World Trade Center (WTC) on September 11, 2001, was a preventable disaster. Much has been written about the horror of knowing that a foreign entity hated us enough to perpetrate this act. But few understand the added horror against the victims and their families, perpetrated by our own nation.
