One main focus of the learner-centered paradigm of education involves centering learning on real-world tasks to support intrinsic motivation and collaboration in learner-centered instruction. Many different task-or problem-centered models for learning have been proposed over the years, with various names such as problem-based learning, problem-centered learning, discovery learning, taskcentered learning, task-centered instruction, task-based learning, and more.
