Explaining Spatial Cognition: A Theory of Spatial Representation The Theory of Spatial Representation

The real work of the book is now complete. In this chapter, we will identify and elaborate some of the general properties of spatial cognition and properties of the mind that have been inherent in our view throughout. To this end we will outline the structure of the theory, review its application to the tasks discussed in the book, apply it to some other tasks which have not been discussed, and finally, discuss the relationship between the view developed here and alternative conceptions of space and ultimately to alternative conceptions of the mind.
