All right, how many of you succeeded? Fine. Now, for you as clients, how many got an emotion? How many learned a behavior? No one? Good. How many of you had thoughts provoked or began to consider new options as a cognitive possibility? All right! I think you can see that this is an attitudechallenging procedure. We need to remind you of what we may have already stated. You can evoke a feeling with this because you can evoke a feeling with anything you say when the image or idea you use happens to be idiosyncratic to emotional material in the client's life. But separate that from the structure of the protocol itself! Evoking a feeling while using this protocol is accidental and you cannot always predict that in advance. The typical results of this protocol, on the other hand, you can predict in advance.
