ABSTRACT

W e ' d like to see the daughter one more t ime and deal wi th rules of sexual conduct embod ied in the " honey and p o l l e n " lecture. This is the advanced course, "B i rds and Bees II," that Stephen had to invent in response to some growing pains exper ienced by his son w h o was 17 years o ld at the t ime. It details the four components that must be present for intercourse to proceed. For those of you w h o don' t know, 1) both parties must be able to freely give their consent, 2) each partner must respect both the other and the self, and 3) communica t ion (verbal or nonverbal) must cont inue before, dur ing, and after. Final ly, 4) there must be enjoyment before, dur ing , and after. If any of these components are missing, the person recogniz ing it shou ld , as politely as possible, leave and immediately go somewhere else to think about what went wrong and what needs are not being met.
