Law Review Commentary
This chapter illustrates how to find law review commentary on a specific aspect of the law by first focusing on a key decision as the starting point in a search. One approach to exploring the legal implications of the Electromation decision is obtaining references to law review commentary using both printed indexes and electronic sources. The subject headings used in Current Law Index are adapted from those employed by Library of Congress. A citator is a research tool which permits tracing, among other things, the "treatment" of a case or a law review article. In this context, "treatment" refers to an ability to establish the appearance of a case or law review article in subsequently published decisions or law review articles. Electronic sources can accelerate the process and achieve a more comprehensive search. The full text of selected law review journals is available online from LexisNexis as well as Westlaw.
