The Coming of the Railway: Years 5–6 204
This example began life as a historical project, focusing on Victorian Britain. It involved work in most curriculum areas. For clarity – and in order to draw attention to the interrelationships between the work in drama and in other curriculum areas – I have divided the account of this project into ‘Drama time’ and ‘Class time’. In reality the divisions were not so distinct, and ‘Class time’ included ICT research, work in the school library, homework, work on the school field and visiting a local museum.
