Date. April 1626? This elegy was apparently written from London (9), early in M.'s Cambridge career, before he had become reconciled to the university (14–16, 90), and in the spring (48). He matriculated at Cambridge 9 Apr. 1625. In 1626 the Lent Term ended 31 Mar. and the Easter Term began 19 Apr.
