ABSTRACT
Using data from a century of Portuguese capitalism since 1913, this chapter investigates the configuration of corporate networks in Portugal, identifying patterns in its evolution and contributing to a comparative analysis. There are three main questions: How has the long-term evolution of the Portuguese corporate networks been shaped? Which phases can be distinguished? Which factors explain the identifiable changes and continuities? Corporate networks are analyzed using interlocking directorates.
