Commentary on ‘Implications of emerging areas for psychology education and training’


I would like to start with some important points that both authors have in common. First, both convincingly demonstrate that NS/HB and GP really are emerging fi elds within psychology; one stems from basic research, largely infl uenced by technical progress within the last few decades; the other from the applied perspective and arising from changes in the age distribution of the population in many countries throughout the world. Both contributions show that these fi elds should be in some way integrated in PET.
