Roles and responsibilities of international psychology organizations for psychology education and training
Introduction: psychology in a global world Globalization, technological developments, the connectivity of people and groups, socioeconomic and demographic changes, human capital mobility, transformation of ideologies and value systems, and sociopolitical dynamics represent important factors in the transformation of current societies. This transformation, in turn, has an important infl uence on many human activities, such as science, and more specifi cally, on psychology. From one side, new demands are made of psychology as a scientifi c discipline and profession; from the other side, psychology itself is experiencing important changes within the framework of psychology as a science and as a profession system. In this context, it is more important than ever to analyze the disciplinary and professional identity and diversity of psychology in the international scene.
