Library/Vendor Relations: An Academic Publisher’s Perspective
Successful relationships, in general, are built upon a foundation of mutually beneficial goals and aspirations. The strength of relationships between academic publishers and libraries is a direct reflection of the commitment of each party to the continuing development of academic research and the benefits it fosters. If academic publishers are to provide the appropriate high-quality products and services that their library customers require, an open line of communication must be maintained at all times between both parties. Such cooperative interaction is vital to the success of both academic publishers and the libraries that they serve.
