DataAnalysis Becauseindividualscouldhavehad PTSDresultingfromothertraumatic eventsbesidesthebombing,diagnoses andsymptomsofbombing-associated PTSDweretabulatedseparatelyfrom thoseassociatedwithothertraumas.It iswellestablishedthattraumaticevents experiencedbyindividualsinthecommunitydisproportionatelystrikepersonswithproclivitiestopsychopathol-
.ogy,suggestingthatPTSDfollowing sporadictraumastoindividualsinthe communitymayrepresentasomewhat dilferentphenomenonfromthePTSD arisingfromacommunity-widedisastersuchasthebombing.1Therefore,4 casesofPTSDunrelatedtothebombingwereexcludedfromcalculationof postdisasterPTSDprevalence.
