ABSTRACT
This article is a perspective on what research skills new associates in legal practice need. Knowledge of print and electronic resources and cost-effective search strategies are the main focus of the article. A checklist of research skills is included along with recommendations on what law schools and law firm librarians can do to assist law students and new attorneys in learning these skills.
