ABSTRACT
Eighteen out of Szymanowski’s 77 works bear no dedication and the remaining are dedicated to 46 persons. The majority of those dedications, as many as 18, are to musician friends, including those who in their youth were the first interpreters of the newly created works; another 17 are to friends and close acquaintances; 8 are to family members; and 3 are to poets.
