ABSTRACT

The global economy has undergone fundamental changes in recent years, amidst sluggish growth rates and growing concerns that the persistent gloomy situation will pose a serious threat to hard-won achievements in poverty reduction (World Bank 2015). This obviously impacts the economic policies adopted by governments as they attempt to boost employment, income and growth. At the same time, since countries trade and maintain economic ties with each other, their policy actions inf luence economic diplomacy at the global level.
