ABSTRACT

In 1990, I published a book with Economica entitled Métastratégie: Systèmes, Formes et Principes de la guerre féodale à la dissuasion nucléaire. The book attempted to articulate and synthesize the doctrines and practices of war and revolution in the West: How does one order the historical proliferation of wars and revolutions at length without outlining a simple chronology? Can one bring together geopolitical concepts, operational strategies, the sociological factors and tactics?
