ABSTRACT

The Otulina Agritourist Farm is situated within the buffer zone of Kampinos National Park, 45 km from Warsaw, the capital of Poland, and 6 km from Zelazowa Wola, the birthplace of Frederic Chopin, where his parents’ manor house in a beautiful garden is open to visitors. The owner of the Otulina Farm graduated from Warsaw Business School. The Warsaw Metropolitan Area is a place of dynamic tourism development, including rural tourism and agritourism, as the area encompasses several unique values. The owner used her own resources to finance most of the investments in renovation and adaptation of the farm building for agritourism. To improve the conditions and offer entertainment in 2011 the owner invested some EU funds she received for transformation from farming activities to non-agricultural activities. The number of people and events on her farm give her enough work that she can manage and enough income to say it is a good business.
