ABSTRACT
Introduction My aim with this chapter is to help bring to light new formal, or government and select private partner, place-(re)making efforts in downtown San Antonio, Texas, that appear to burden many residents and visitors in this major but often overlooked US city, including by challenging some established local norms and material practices related to mobile food vending and the use of municipal parks.
