ABSTRACT
This conculsion presents some closing thoughts of key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book discusses most common approach to diversity-focused analyses are in-depth examinations of the diversity that exists within particular populations which, in general, tend to be viewed largely as homogenous groups by society, researchers, and policy alike. It also discusses in particular all disrupt this common assumption and contribute valuable knowledge regarding the different health experiences, needs, and outcomes that exist among or within some of Canada's minority and/or more marginalized populations. Crooks explored the complex relationship between macro and micro health care experiences in the lives of women living with the chronic illness, fibromyalgia syndrome. The analytic techniques and methods used by the contributing authors also varied and include literature reviews, content analyses, interviews, observational field notes, descriptive statistical analyses, spatial analyses, intersectionality, participatory action, as well as mixed and multi-method approaches.
