ABSTRACT

The chapter is structured so that the next section will present a general overview of spending on long-term care and some information on the informal care. This is then followed by a general overview of trends in long-term care since the financial crisis. This is done by looking at five different themes, which are also shown in Table 12.4, in order to synthesize recent developments in long-term care. There will be five short sections (12.3 through 12.7) on each of these themes, followed by a short concluding section.
