ABSTRACT

This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book presents an original intellectual body of thought on the functional nature of the monotheistic law of unity of knowledge and its operational application in the world-system of Islamic financial economics and banking, and with a much greater perspective in the Islamic socio-scientific field. It explores a methodological construct of the theory of Islamic financial economics and banking that is quite distinct from the received theory and practice in this field of study and in mainstream thought, theory, and practice. Tawhid, which is the Quranic terminology for monotheism, was simply considered as an exogenously implied cornerstone of Islamic intellection. Today, there is no intellectual field that can be identified in the world of learning as truly representative of both Islamic economics, finance, and banking, and Islamic socio-scientific thought.
