ABSTRACT

There is a difference between learning and training. Learning involves increasing both the amount of data in a person's memory and the ability to retrieve this data in a specific context. Training, on the other hand, is the ability to control an individual's behaviour based on response to a situation. Wisdom involves more than just the ability to query knowledge and bring it into your brain. Wisdom involves a multitude of soft skills including knowing how to explain the observation, when to share the observation and finally to obtain feedback on the wisdom. So leadership training needs to involve the soft skills associated with obtaining data and assimilating data in order to communicate wisdom. Learning plays an important role in an individual's depth of knowledge, by adding more facts and examples to the information in the mind, and organising it in different patterns, the learner has increased their ability to store and retrieve information.
